Our Story

Deck'Umbs began as an idea; a solution to a problem we'd all been putting up with for years.

Deck'Umbs inventor had just finished filling a large umbrella stand with six 50-pound bags of sand and heaved it around his deck when he realized that there had to be a better way. Deck'Umbs not only removes the bulk of large umbrella stands and the weight of sandbags, but it ensures the stability of your umbrellas and upright accessories, while maximizing the space of your deck.

Because we are from southern Ontario, Canada, we experience the high temperatures of summer and the chills of winter. Most Canadians are outdoorsy and make the most of summer sunshine, but our outdoor accessories can rarely stand up to our winters. Storing outdoor furniture away for the winter is a must.

With this in mind, Deck'Umbs were created to be corrosion- and weather-resistant. Because Deck'Umbs is comprised of only two key components, it means set up and take down are easy. You can leave the Deck'Umbs installed base outside all throughout winter without a worry, and you can pull your Deck'Umbs holder out of storage in spring.
